TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Luma-1 DIY kit offers a cost effective option for synth enthusiasts to get fully featured Luma-1 in their hands. It’s a medium complexity project for an average synth builder. It will take between 40-50 hours to finish a build, however, may include some additional debugging and tuning. This may be beyond some users' capabilities. Please, review the assembly manual before making a purchase to assess your skills and capabilities.
The kit comes with PCBs with pre-populated SMD parts, enclosure, NOS DACs, hardware, and wooden panels. It doesn’t include off the shelf through hole parts, such as faders, buttons, pots, resistors, capacitors and others. Please, refer to the BOM list for the complete list of all components needed for the build.
The buyer assumes responsibility for setting up the kit and debugging it if necessary. The buyer is encouraged to use the help of Luma-1 User Group and Luma-1 Builder communities on Facebook if necessary. The seller doesn’t provide assistance in the assembly or technical support. In the meantime, the seller provides the best reasonable effort to answer technical inquiries. Luma-1 schematics, firmware and the sound data are public and posted on GitHub. Original LM-1 and LinnDrum data is shared with permission of Roger Linn.
This Luma-1 DIY Kit is sold "as-is," without any express or implied warranties. By purchasing and using this kit, the buyer acknowledges and agrees that the assembly and use of this kit are done at their own risk. The seller does not warrant that the components, instructions, or materials provided are free from defects or will function as intended after assembly.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the seller disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The seller shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of income, resulting from the use or misuse of this kit, whether during assembly or thereafter.
This disclaimer applies regardless of whether the kit is assembled correctly, instructions are followed properly, or any assistance is provided by the seller. The buyer assumes all responsibility for the outcome of the assembly process and the performance of the resulting product.
Should any components of the kit be found defective upon delivery, the buyer's sole remedy shall be the replacement of those components at the discretion of the seller. The buyer must notify the seller of any such defect within 30 days of purchase.
By using this kit, the buyer agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the seller from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to the use of the Luma-1 DIY kit.
