LM-1 front panel consists of three separate assemblies: the keyboard board with the main tempo control, the mixer board with the master output level control, and the display board. The second photo shows the complete front panel layout and highlights the location of this assembly.
This listing includes only the mixer board assembly. The board comes fully soldered, tested, and ready for installation.
The main difference between the original LM-1 and the Luma-1 mixer section is the upper row of potentiometers. Luma-1 provides dedicated controls for both Pan and Pitch, while the original LM-1 includes only a single control row.
For this LM-1 redesign, we added the ability to configure the upper potentiometer row during manufacturing. The board can be built either as a traditional Pan version (with black potentiometers) or as a Pitch-control version. Pitch versions are fitted with clear-shaft potentiometers and integrated LEDs beneath them, similar to the original Luma-1 design.
This reproduction uses premium Bourns sliders and ALPS potentiometers (Japan), the same high-quality components used in the Luma-1.
Please note: the original LM-1 does not provide a native connector for pitch control. To enable the Pitch function, a separate interface PCB modification is required and sold separately (shown on the last photo).
Compatible with LM-1 Rev. 3 front panel with no modifications required. The mixer board operates fully normally even without the Pitch interface installed, allowing the upgrade to be completed in two stages if desired.
